Aadhaar Pay App is finally here, India goes cashless after following the Digital India Movement, This is the solution for most of the questions raised by merchants across India. This app is developed by the IDFC Bank and also collaborated with other government organizations. The government is moving ahead after launching such type of and demanding other Banks to implement Aadhaar Pay app transactions. The government is expecting to link the bank accounts with Aadhaar by this month.

What Merchants required is a smartphone, internet connection, Aadhaar Payment app Download and a biometric reader which costs around 2000 Rs far better than the POS which costs around 5000 Rs.
Working on the Aadhaar Payment app:
When a customer reaches a merchant for purchasing, Shopkeepers will ask for Aadhaar Number which will be entered on the app, And Customer needs to put a fingerprint on the biometric scanner. This fingerprint matches with National Payments Corporation of India. “Both Unique Identification Authority of India (UIDAI) and NPCI participate in this type of payment“.

This application is released after tested by 1500 merchants across 16 states, As of now 400 million Aadhaar numbers are linked to bank accounts and it targets 25 billion digital transactions on this Adhaar Pay app platform during this year. Aruna Sundararajan, secretary, Ministry of electronics and IT said, “Let me emphasize that it is not just the launch of another app, it’s a paradigm shift.”
